Guilt has a big factor in our wanting to avoid His presence, His voice, His convictions -don’t you think? I know that if I am in a season of life whereas I am going nuts trying to “fix everything” wrong with me and everybody else, I get the “Ostrich” syndrome. Hide my head and ears in the sand. When I have sense enough to shake the dust off, I press into my God and ask Him to press into me. Did God really know what He was doing when He created humans? I can remember the time when my focus was so heavily on finding my “purpose”… why was I here? What was the “one thing” that I was made to do… Unfortunately it took me way into ME. I got so caught up in it all. And then I realized something. Jesus told us simply what life was all about. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart…..and love your neighbor as yourself.” If I embrace that love He so freely offers and receive myself as He knows me to be I will love those around me…everything will fall into place. I WILL fulfill my purpose.
